About

Crawley Sword Club is a three-weapon fencing club that was established in 1954 by Geoff Griffin. Geoff was a member of the British Academy of Fencing (provost) and was Head Coach at the club until he passed away in 2014.

At Crawley, we have inclusive culture and encourage all abilities to fence one another with tailored training available from a beginner to commonwealth level. Since the formation of the club, a consistent flow of international fencers representing England and Great Britain has formed, due to the combination of high-quality coaching and sparring with a friendly atmosphere. We are based at the K2 Leisure Centre in Crawley which is easily accessible from Sussex, Surrey, and Kent due to its proximity to the M23.
