Crawley Sword Club was established in 1954 to promote the sport of fencing. Geoff Griffin the founder of the club was a member of the British Academy of Fencing (provost) and was involved with the club until he passed away. We are a three weapon club, fencing: Foil, Epée, and Sabre.
Crawley Sword Club offers a friendly and welcoming environment to all who want to take up the sport of fencing. We are based at the K2 Leisure Centre in Crawley that is easily accessible from Sussex, Surrey and Kent. Training can be tailored to accommodate beginners and social fencers to the aspiring national contenders.
Crawley Sword Club has produced fencers of all standards including club, county, commonwealth and national fencers, across the entire age range from Junior to Veteran.
Thank you for your patience & support over the summer. We've worked hard creating a robust approach to health and safety which meets both British Fencing and K2 guidelines. We are excited to announce that we are starting indoor fencing again on Monday 14th September.
We welcome any fencers from the local area. If you are not a member of
Crawley Sword Club the current visitor fees are:
- £10 for adults
- £5 for children
Please meet outside prompt at the entrance of K2 & you will be checked in. If you arrive without a facemask or if your temperature is high, you will be
unable to fence.

You will receive a receipt confirming your selections, you can then use this receipt to update any choices.
We may need to restrict numbers and so if you have registered and cannot then make it, please advise club as soon as possible.
